Kazunori Sugiura has been working on development of Internet and

distributed computer technology in Communication Research Laboratory
(now known as National Institute of Information and Communication
Technology, Tokyo, Japan) from 1999 to 2004. His major contribution is
a development of real-time high quality network video conferencing

system called DVTS (Digital Video Transport System). He has been
working on major part of high quality low latency media streaming
technology used in trend internet infrastructure. Most of his
contributions based on streaming architecture are now used in
world-wide basis: Internet2 in U.S., SOI ASIA (School on Internet)
Project, etc. He has numerous papers and invited speeches among
numerous international and local conferences, and events. He is an
active researcher in WIDE Project: a leading Internet research project
group in Japan, driving many of the distributed networking projects.
He is currently an associate professor in KMD where he leads a team of
over 20 researchers and students on a Real Project.
